Speculations are rife that long- serving Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is contemplating retirement from the club which he led for 27 years.
With Sir Alex set to walk through the Old Trafford door, Wayne Rooney is the player set to follow his boss’ footstep. The Daily Mirror has reported the England international is interested in a move to Bayern Munich this summer.

It is said that the newly- crowned Bundesliga champions have agreed to a £30 million deal for Rooney, who has endured a rather frustrating campaign due to ongoing fitness concerns. Though Ferguson has denied the striker would be sold but it is believed Rooney is looking for fresh challenges and thinks he would get it in Pep Guardiola’s Bayern lineup.
At first, Paris St Germain was the club Rooney was thought to be making a summer transfer to, after the striker was linked with the French champions- elect, but now Bayern and an unnamed Premier League club are understood to have moved ahead in the race to capture Rooney.
