'Bayern toughest test I've faced' - Adriano

'Bayern toughest test I've faced' - Adriano

The full-back has praised his side's Champions League conquerors while urging his team-mates to focus on wrapping up the Liga title

Adriano says Barcelona's 7-0 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich was the toughest test he has faced in his time at Camp Nou.

The Catalans were swept aside in the Champions League semi-finals, losing the first-leg 4-0, before being defeated 3-0 in the return leg at home.

"The opponent was much better than us. It was one of the toughest games since I got here," the 28-year-old told reporters.

"The elimination hurt us very much. Now we have to get in the best state of mind to face Betis, which is a final.

"It is a very difficult league with lots of complex rivals. If we win we will be very happy and content.

The Brazil international arrived in Catalunya from Sevilla for a fee thought to be in the region of €9.5 million and the defender is confident of extending his deal in Spain.

"We are close to reaching an agreement. My desire is to stay here, I am settled."

Barcelona face Betis on Sunday as they look for the three points that will seal the Liga title.
